Members of Organized Labor in Northwestern Pennsylvania are lucky to have so many opportunities for their members, dependents, and grandchildren in some cases to obtain funding through a variety of educational Scholarships available to them if they meet the eligibility for them. Applicants can apply for as many of the scholarships if they meet the eligibility requirements. PDF icon nwpa_alf_2022_scholarships_brochure.pdf All of the scholarships offered by the NWPA Area Labor Federation have a deadline for the various scholarship applications to be RECEIVED by May 6th. There are 3-$500.00 scholarships; NWPA ALF Scholarship, David A Bielski Educational Scholarship, and Dr, David Ferster Educational Scholarship each of which has different eligibility requirements. Our scholarship awards are paid directly to the student with the winning essay of each scholarship. We have a panel of 9 judges that review our essays and encourage any member or eligible dependant or grandchild to apply.

PDF icon b-l_2022_sch.pdfThe Beaver-Lawrence Central Labor Council offers two scholarships. The Beaver-Lawrence CLC Scholarship and the Donald McNutt Memorial Scholarships are both offered through essay contests, Eligible students can apply to both scholarships BUT must include the two essays answering the appropriate questions for each scholarship. We encourage everyone that is eligible to apply. The deadline for essays to be received is May 20th.

PDF icon e-c_sch_2022_new.pdfThe Erie-Crawford Central Labor Council offers three scholarships: Tom Wagner Memorial Scholarship with an award of $500, Theo Sabin Meyer Memorial Scholarship with an award of $750, and the John David Dever Memorial Scholarship with an award of $500. Please read the eligibility requirements for each as they vary. The deadline for applications is May 14th.
